Australia records 296 current active cases, one in ICU

Australia has recorded a current total of 296 active cases across the country – which includes infections acquired both locally and overseas.

Of those cases, 46 are in hospital, with one New South Wales patient in intensive care.

Tasmania and the ACT are the only state and territory currently without any active cases.
