Fiji’s Parliament closes after close contact of a staffer tests positive to COVID-19 | The World
Parliament has been forced to close in Fiji after a staffer was found to be a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19. There have been 39 new confirmed infections announced today, with 656 active cases in the country. Fiji has so far resisted a national lockdown due to concerns it could exacerbate poverty. Opposition MP Lenora Qereqeretabua says both sides of politics are working to find a solution.
